Where We Can Go As We Are

“The ache for home lives in all of us; The safe place where we can go as we are and not be questioned.” ― Maya Angelou

Wah.  I’m homesick.

Instead of dwelling on it, I’m going to brag about my BFF Brooke.

Brooke is one of the most talented, creative and wonderful people I’ve ever met.

Exhibit A:  Her blog, Simply Bee.

Exhibit B:  The graphic above.  Oh Jersey, sweet Jersey, you will always be my home.

Exhibit C:  The graphic below.  Brooke’s a Cali girl at heart. #SanFran #Whaaaddup

Random Flashback:  Remember when Brooke and I went to Bar None last summer and I stole this bi-coastal fishbowl because it was too good to be true and because it seemed like the only rational thing to do at the time?   Aw, shucks!

Memorieeeeeees!

Moral of the Story:  If I could be anywhere right now, it would on my fire escape with Brooke singing “Ouuuuuuut Tonight!” with a glass bottle of wine in both of our hands.

And that’s that.

  1. You and Brooke are so perfectly talented young stylish and complimentary

  2. hate to hear that you’re homesick, that’s always one of the worst feelings to have – my best friend lives in NYC & me in WV – so if i could be anywhere, I’d be in NYC with her right now! hope you find more comfort in the memories & can make it home for a visit soon!
