What I Learned This Weekend
I learned a lot this weekend.
For starters? I learned that MACY’S HAS ALREADY DECORATED THEIR STORE FOR CHRISTMAS.
[Insert the selfie I took of myself in the Macy's perfume department surrounded by Christmas trees and ornaments. I deemed it far too embarrassing for the Internet.]
Next?
I learned that if a bar tells you that tequila shots are not included in your open bar deal, you can stick it to the man by ordering tequila on the rocks* with a lime on the side. I love loopholes.
*Be warned that you will inevitably feel terrible the next day.
I learned that two entire bunches of celery is an aggressive addition to a juice recipe. I also learned that said juice will taste even worse the day after.
At least it was pretty to look at.
What else?
I learned that, sometimes, having a three person dance party on a Friday night is way more fun than going out.
I learned that brunch is, by far, the best meal of the day. And that my roommate can make a mean omelette.
I learned that there’s no reason NOT to stay out until 3:00am when you have absolutely nothing to do the next day.
And, last but not least?
I learned that I live in the most beautiful place in the world.
Okay, so maybe I already knew that.
