Cabin Fever
Well, it’s official.
We’ve been trapped in Hoboken for the past 5 days and we’ve all lost our minds.
It doesn’t look like we’re going to be leaving anytime soon, so we’ve been spending our days eating, drinking, reading “The Survivor’s Club,” taking notes, and trying not to kill each other.

The town is still in rough shape, but things are getting better every day. The National Guard arrived, water levels are going down, and the community has come together in a wonderful way. The acts of kindness we’ve witnessed this week have been incredibly heartwarming.
We tried to do our part by creating a free charging station for people without power.
Power is still out mostly everywhere, but a few markets did open up to sell non-perishable items. The only catch? You have to shop by flashlight. There’s a first time for everything!
Not much else to report here. We’re hoping that the next few days bring good news and we’re able to get out of here sooner rather than later. Until then, I’ll be stuck inside dreaming of Mexican food, fresh air, and Starbucks coffee.
Jersey Strong!

So sorry to hear that you are still trapped! That was really kind of you to set up the charging station. Phones are so important in this day and age for checking on fam/friends during disasters like this! Hang in there!
